Our insurance role.
The Legacy Bureau™ is an independent insurance agency founded by Syndy Buchanan, known professionally as Syndy B. Our work focuses on life insurance, indexed universal life insurance, and annuities. The descriptor Licensed Financial Professional refers here to Syndy’s insurance-producer role; it does not by itself describe a securities or investment-advisory license.
Professional identity and availability.
Licensed insurance producer: Syndy Buchanan. Currently licensed in Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Missouri, Virginia, Arizona, Kansas. Products and services are offered only where the appropriate licenses, insurer authorizations, and product permissions are held. Availability varies by state and insurer.
Insurance compensation.
Insurance commissions may be paid when a life insurance policy or annuity contract is purchased. Website education and consultations do not by themselves establish a fee-based investment-advisory relationship.
Education and your circumstances.
Website content is general education, not individualized financial, investment, legal, or tax advice or a recommendation to buy, replace, surrender, or transfer a policy, contract, or account. A review of your circumstances, alternatives, and the actual policy or contract is needed before a recommendation. Consult your own qualified legal or tax adviser about those matters.
Policy conditions and guarantees.
Insurance premiums, charges, benefits, exclusions, riders, funding requirements, surrender provisions, and guarantees vary by policy, contract, insurer, and state. Guarantees depend on the issuing insurer’s claims-paying ability and the applicable contract terms. Each insurer is responsible for its own contractual obligations. Review the actual policy or contract and required disclosures before purchasing.
Life insurance and continued coverage.
Life insurance is insurance protection. Term and permanent coverage have different features, costs, and conditions. Coverage may end if required premiums or funding conditions are not met. Renewals, conversions, cash values, and optional benefits depend on the policy; a feature described generally on this website is not available in every policy.
Understanding IUL.
Indexed universal life insurance is permanent life insurance, not direct ownership of a stock index. Indexed interest is determined by the policy’s crediting rules, which may include caps, participation rates, spreads, and floors. Non-guaranteed terms can change within contractual limits. A crediting floor does not prevent charges from reducing policy value. Illustrated non-guaranteed values are not promises of future results. Policy loans accrue interest; loans and withdrawals can reduce cash value and death benefits, increase lapse risk, and have tax consequences. A lapse or surrender with an outstanding loan may create taxable income. No blanket tax-free outcome is promised.
Annuities, income, and access.
Annuities are insurance contracts. Income guarantees depend on the contract, selected options, and applicable conditions; not every annuity automatically provides lifetime income. Surrender charges, market value adjustments where applicable, fees, and rider costs can affect access and benefits. Early withdrawals may have tax consequences or tax penalties. Compare liquidity needs, costs, existing benefits, and alternatives before a replacement, exchange, or retirement-account rollover.
A virtual conversation.
Conversations take place by phone or video. Confirm current service eligibility and an appropriate secure process before sharing personal or policy records. Do not send Social Security numbers, medical information, account numbers, detailed financial records, or policy documents through the website inquiry form or scheduling notes.
No coverage is created here.
Viewing this site, sending an inquiry, or scheduling a conversation does not constitute an insurance application, bind coverage, or amend an existing policy. Applicable underwriting, eligibility, issuance, premium-payment, and other contract conditions must be satisfied.
